Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Reydempto.tv ("we", "us") collects when you use this site, why, and what rights you have over it. If you have questions, contact reydempto.contact@gmail.com.
Who we are
Reydempto.tv is operated from the Netherlands. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Reydempto.tv is the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect
- Twitch account info. Logging in uses Twitch OAuth. We request no special permissions from you. Only your public Twitch profile: your Twitch user ID, username, display name, and profile picture. We do not receive your email address or password.
- Follower/subscriber/moderator status. Using the broadcaster's own elevated Twitch access (not anything you grant), we look up whether you follow or subscribe to the channel, and whether you're a moderator or VIP, to show the right badges on your profile.
- Tip and payment records. When you send a tip, we store the amount, currency, an optional message, whether you chose to tip anonymously, and the time it was sent, linked to your account. Payments themselves are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- Tip messages and their audio. A message left with a tip may be shown on stream, in the on-site notifications feed, and converted to speech using Amazon Polly (a third-party text-to-speech service) and played live. If you tip anonymously, your name is not shown or spoken, only your message.
- Moderation records. If a tipping ban, timeout, or message restriction is placed on your account, we keep a record of that action and the reason given, for as long as it's relevant to enforcing it.
- Session cookies. A cookie keeps you logged in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies/trackers.
Why we process this data, and on what basis
- To operate the tipping feature and process your payment. This is necessary to provide the service you're using.
- To display your tip alert, message, and any spoken text-to-speech live on stream and in the notifications feed. This is based on your choice to submit a tip with that content (you can tip anonymously to withhold your name).
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and ban evasion (message filtering, moderation records): in order to keeping the tipping system and stream chat usable.
- To show follower/subscriber/moderator badges: in order to give credit to supporters.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your data. It's shared only with the services needed to run the site:
- Twitch: for login and profile/follower/subscriber data.
- PayPal: to process tip payments.
- Amazon Web Services (Polly): to convert tip messages to speech.
- Cloudflare: for network security and content delivery.
These providers are based outside the EEA (mainly the United States). Where personal data is transferred there, it's covered by those providers' own safeguards (see their standard contractual clauses).
How long we keep it
We keep data for as long as it's needed for the purposes above: tip/payment records for accounting purposes, moderation records for as long as they remain relevant. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below); some records may need to be kept longer where we have a legal obligation to do so (e.g. financial records).
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to our processing of it, request a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, email reydempto.contact@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your own country's equivalent.
Children
This site isn't intended for children under 13. Twitch itself requires accounts to meet this minimum. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top.
